Brooklyn has long been referred to as a melting pot-of cultures, colors, creeds and...breeds?

Yes, while Germany may have its noble Shepherd, and Britain, its beloved Yorkie, In Brooklyn, a strong case can be made to deem our offical dog, the Mutt.

As we are firm believers in the old adage "Every Dog Must Have His Day" the Brooklyn Lyceum is proud to announce B.K. BARK: A Brooklyn Mutt Show.

On March 13 & 14, 2010 we will turn our historic space into a showcase for dozens of the Borough's most Beautiful beasts. Contestants will be judged on (adorable) looks, personality, talent, and of course, Bikinis. (we kid)

Downstairs the canine's companions can shop for a plethora of puppy products, from cute clothes, grrrrrooming needs and toys for spoiled terriers. All while enjoying delicious gourmet coffee and treats from our world-class mezzanine cafe. 

A portion of the proceeds from the event will be donated to local no kill shelters. Adoption vans will be on site for those of you so moved as to give a special little one his forever home.

If you think your little mong-girl or boy has what it takes to be in the spotlight email (info@broklynmuttshow.com) with a picture and a few paragraphs about your dog's temperment and what makes him or her so special, we will respond to selected entries with an official application.
